Former YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Singer Guests On Japanese Concept Album
January 10, 2005Vocalist Mark Boals' (RING OF FIRE, ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) official web site has been updated with the following message:
"Mark sang a song for Japanese musician/songwriter/producer Tomio Terada's new album. On Mr. Terada's upcoming album 'Flight of the Soul', Mark sang the song 'Tempestus Rex'. The music and concept of this album was written by Terada who was inspired by the famous French novelist Antoine De Saint-Exupéry ('Petit Prince (The Little Prince)', 'Currier Sud (Southern Mail)', 'Vol de Nuit (Night Flight)', 'Terre Des Hommes (Wind, Sand and Stars)', etc). Mr. Terada created world music or easy listening style music on the album based on the work of this French novelist. Besides Mark Boals, many artists' performances are heard, such as the bossa nova singer Atsuko Kitayama (living and working in Brazil),opera singer Rumiko Kitazono (currently performing in Italy) and Masumi Harada who is known for singing a Disney movie's theme song.
"This album, 'Flight of the Soul', will be released in Japan by the label Selah on February 12, 2005. (The release dates for this album other than Japan haven't been confirmed yet.)"
